Biocon Pharma gets GMP compliance certificate from UK’s health regulator MHRA for Bengaluru facility

New Delhi: bio technology firm Biocon on Monday said its subsidiary Biocon Pharma has received Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance certificate from UK’s health regulator MHRA for its own Bengaluru facility.
“Biocon Pharma Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Biocon Restricted ) has obtained a certificate of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance from that the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the United Kingdom (UK), for its manufacturing facility in Biocon Park Bengaluru,” Biocon said in a regulatory filing.
The certificate, including packaging and manufacturing of capsules and tablets at the non-potent and potent cubes of this facility, has been issued based to a remote inspection from the week of 22 March, 2021, in the aftermath of travel constraints atop COVID-19, the organization added.
Stocks of Biocon were trading 0.08 per cent lower in 419.95 apiece on BSE.
