As of 2015, only a few UPS stores offer electronic fingerprinting services. Employers who want to do a background check on job applicants must be the only ones who can use the services.
Employers give job applicants a link to a website where they can sign up for an appointment at a participating UPS store. UPS can’t get to the website, and they can’t make appointments over the phone.
UPS asks prospective fingerprint customers to make certain they know where the UPS store is located so that they arrive at the appointment on time. Store location maps are available on UPS store websites. UPS also asks customers to bring two forms of ID and their barcode number from FieldPrint when they go to get their fingerprints taken.
