Does Walmart Give Veteran Discounts?

Walmart does not provide military veterans a discount. In an experiment done at four Walmart locations in Southern California, shoppers with military identification were denied a discount 48 times out of 48.

In a follow-up email, a Walmart customer service representative informed GruntRoll, the experiment’s sponsor, that Walmart does not offer a military discount but does support the troops in other ways. In 2010, Walmart contributed $10 million to the veteran community in an effort to combat unemployment and boost higher education. In 2011, Walmart quadrupled this contribution to $20 million.
