Does Your Bank’s Address Have to Be on Your Personal Checks?

According to 4Checks.com, personal checks must include the name of the connected bank, but the address is optional. The cheque must include the bank’s routing number.

Personal checks must include the account holder’s name, address, and bank account number, according to 4Checks.com. On the Pay To line of a check, the account holder writes the name of the individual or business receiving the payment. The monetary amount must be written out in both figures and words by the individual writing the check. Some banks permit check issuers to personalise checks with their spouses’ names, phone numbers, and driver’s licence numbers. There is a signature line on personal checks for the check writer to endorse payments.
