Harrison Ford to reprise ‘Indiana Jones’ function for last film
Harrison Ford is donning his hat and whip as soon as once more, reprising his function as Indiana Jones for the fifth and last film directed by James Mangold.
The newest installment, slated for July 2022, was introduced throughout Disney Investor Day on Thursday, together with a slew of different items coming to Disney+ together with Marvel and “Star Wars” initiatives.
“Lucasfilm is in pre-production on the following installment of Indiana Jones. On the helm is James @Mang0ld, director of ‘Ford v Ferrari,’ and Indy himself, Harrison Ford, will probably be again to proceed his iconic character’s journey. Journey arrives July 2022,” Disney tweeted.
The “Indiana Jones” movie will go into manufacturing this spring, Deadline reported, though Chris Pratt — who has been rumored to be hooked up to an “Indiana Jones” venture — has not been talked about.
Ford, 78, first starred in “Raiders of the Misplaced Ark” in 1981, adopted by “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984), “Indiana Jones and the Final Campaign” (1989) and capping it off with “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Cranium” in 2008.
“Indiana Jones” producer Frank Marshall not too long ago informed Den of Geek that he had no intention on recasting the long-lasting lead Ford catapulted into fame within the 80s.
“We’re engaged on the script,” Marshall stated. “There’ll solely be one Indiana Jones, and that’s Harrison Ford.”
Disney Investor Day was filled with information together with “roughly” 10 Marvel collection, 10 “Star Wars” collection and 15 live-action, animation and Pixar collection over the following few years. One venture has Hayden Christensen reprising his function as Darth Vader in Disney+ collection “Obi-Wan.” Patty Jenkins can be directing “Rogue Squadron,” marking the first time a lady will direct a “Star Wars” movie.
