How Can You Write a Letter Requesting Reinstatement of Employment?

To write a good letter asking for your job back, the most important thing to say is how your situation has changed since you were fired. Even though the letter should have other information that is important, it should be most convincing about this change in the circumstances that led to your firing. Set aside at least a day to write this long, persuasive letter.

Tell us who you are and what you did before.

Tell the person you’re writing to who you are and why you want to be hired back. Include information about your last job, such as the name of your department and your direct boss.

Explain why you want to be let back in.

Before you talk about how things have changed since you left your job, you should talk about why you quit. After that, explain why you want to come back to work and how your situation has changed since you quit. If you were fired because of something you did, explain how you have fixed the problems that led to your firing.

Express gratitude

Close the letter by thanking the reader for taking the time to read it and think about your request. Also, include your contact information and ask the person reading the letter to get in touch with you if the company needs more information before making a decision.
