The National Association for Retail Merchandising Services used to handle NARMS jobs. However, the World Alliance for Retail Excellence and Standards has taken over for that group. Job seekers must be members of the Alliance and use the Alliance’s website to search for and apply to job openings.
The Retail Jobs North America link, which used to be called the Job Bank, lets people find jobs on the Alliance’s site. Once a job seeker joins, employers can search for them right away. Employers use job seeker profiles to find people they think would be a good fit for their open positions. Job seekers get job invitations through their secure member site. They can decide if the job interests them and take the next step based on their decision.
After moving to its new headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado, in 2012, the group changed its name from NARMS to the World Alliance for Retail Excellence & Standards in 2013. The Alliance’s goal is to improve retail quality and make shopping fun by putting retailers, manufacturers, and solution providers in touch with each other. Even though the Alliance has members from all over the world and posts jobs from all over the world, it has less than 10 employees.
