To qualify for membership in the Moose Lodge, you must be sponsored by a current member. In addition, you must satisfy the membership charter’s basic requirements and background qualifications.
To be eligible for membership, you must be at least 21 years old and of impeccable character. You must declare faith in a supreme being regardless of your religious affiliation. If you have been expelled from one lodge, you need special permission to enter another; otherwise, you do not qualify.
Individuals who belong to subversive or terrorist organisations are denied membership in the Moose Lodge. In addition, if you are a sexual offender or a convicted felon, you do not qualify.
If you meet the minimum requirements, your sponsor will provide you with an official application form. To expedite the processing of your request, you must pay between $20 and $40 in non-refundable application fees. As of 2015, you must include a check for the application fees before delivering the completed application form.
If the review committee approves of your proposal, the lodge members will vote on it. You become a member of the Moose Lodge if a majority of the members approve your application; otherwise, the lodge rejects your membership.
