Reloading Wawa gift cards can be done in-store or online via the Wawa Rewards website. Since 2015, any amount between $5 and $250 can be added in-store when reloading. Online reloading must be done in $15 increments, and each transaction is limited to $125.
Wawa gift cards are prepaid cards redeemable at all Wawa locations for purchases that qualify. Individually, they are worth $5, although customers can choose denominations up to $250 in a single transaction. Their capacity is capped at $500. When purchasing in-store, cash, debit cards, and major credit cards such as Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and Discover are acceptable forms of payment. Customers cannot use debit cards that need a PIN code online or via the customer service hotline.
After inserting a Wawa gift card at the petrol pump and selecting the credit option, the card can be used to pay for fuel. In-store purchases of merchandise require a PIN. Merchandise purchased with the gift card may be returned for a refund directly applied to the gift card. The purchase of gift cards does not qualify for a refund.
Click the Check Your Balance option on the Wawa Rewards website to view the balance remaining on a Wawa gift card. Employees can check the amount in-store, and each receipt includes the gift card’s remaining balance. While Wawa gift cards never expire, those that have been dormant for at least 60 days are deemed inactive.
