Each properly constructed bundle contains 1,000 $20 bills. This total is equivalent to exactly $20,000 in cash. Each bundle of bills must be divided into ten individual 100-bill bundles.
All straps should be carefully wrapped and tagged so that the strap information is visible once the straps are horizontally bundled. The bundle binding should consist of a rubber band or a zip tie that holds the cash straps together at both ends of the bundle. Only complete bundles of twenty dollar bills may be deposited at a Federal Reserve Bank.
