According to Del Webb, there are nine Del Webb Sun City communities in the United States as of 2015. Texas, Georgia, and Nevada each have one community, whereas Arizona, California, and South Carolina each have two. Sun City Anthem at Merrill Ranch in Florence and Festival in Buckeye are the Arizona communities.
Sun City Shadow Hills in Indio and Sun City Apple Valley in Apple Valley are the California communities. According to Del Webb, the two neighbourhoods in South Carolina are Sun City Carolina Lakes in Fort Mill/Indian Land and Sun City Hilton Head near Bluffton. Sun City Texas is in Georgetown, Texas; Sun City Mesquite is in Mesquite, Nevada; and Sun City Peachtree is in Griffin, Georgia. In 1960, Del Webb constructed its first retirement community west of Phoenix, Arizona.
