How Much Money Does a Veterinarian Make a Day?

As of 2013, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says that the average hourly wage for veterinarians is $46.22, which is about $370 for an eight-hour shift. The average salary for a veterinarian is $96,140 a year, and the top 10 percent make close to $150,000 a year.

As of 2013, there were about 59,230 vets working in the United States. The top 10 percent of earners make about $71.89 an hour, or $575.12 a day. The bottom 10 percent make about $25.61 an hour, or $204.88 a day. Veterinarians in Texas, California, and the Northeast make more money than those in the Southeast and Midwest.
