CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that Mumbaikars who have taken both doses of the vaccine can travel in a local train from August 15. This is a big relief for the people, because there is like a local life line.

Uddhav Thackeray announced that residents of Mumbai who have received both doses of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine can travel in local trains from August 15. Thackeray said in a live webcast that those who have completed the 14-day period after the second dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine can apply for a railway pass on a specially designed app. These can be obtained from the ward offices.

The CM said that till now 19 lakh people in Mumbai have been given both doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine. He said that those who do not have a smartphone, they can get these passes offline. Right now common people are not allowed to board Mumbai suburban trains. Local trains are running only for people working in essential sectors and government services.

The CM said that the crisis of Corona in Maharashtra has not completely gone, but its panic must end. We have made preparations keeping in mind every possible situation ahead. In Pune, Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Beed districts 500 to 900 cases of corona are coming daily. Therefore, it is necessary to be extra careful about corona here. The chief minister also said that his government is considering giving relaxation to shops, malls, restaurants and religious places. A decision will be taken after the task force meeting on Monday.

The Chief Minister also made it clear that for the next 8-10 days, hotels and restaurants will open only till 4 pm. After this only home delivery will continue. Temples and religious places will remain closed for the time being. Malls, theaters will remain closed. Restrictions will remain in place in all festivals, socio-cultural-political programs.
