NYPD stepping up patrols outside Black houses of worship following Buffalo supermarket shooting

NEW YORK (WABC) — The NYPD mentioned they’re stepping up patrols outside Black houses of worship in response to the mass shooting in Buffalo.

Further patrols have been outside Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem on Saturday evening.

Police say that is out of an abundance of warning they usually haven’t acquired any particular threats.

The teenage gunman, Payton Gendron, who was sporting army gear and reside streaming with a helmet digital camera opened fireplace at Tops Supermarket in what authorities described as “racially motived violent extremism,” killing 10 individuals and wounding three others Saturday earlier than he surrendered.
