Oculus is resuming shipments of its Quest 2 Elite Strap accent and lengthening the guarantee after stories of faulty straps. As UploadVR reported earlier, the Fb-owned digital actuality firm paused Elite Strap shipments in November, saying a small variety of customers had reported them snapping after use. Now, it tells Android Central that it’s pinpointed the problem as a “processing inconsistency with some early items,” and the product goes again on sale.
Oculus maintains that the Elite Strap issues have an effect on a “very small share” of consumers. But it surely’s growing the usual one-year guarantee to a two-year interval, throughout which Oculus will change damaged straps freed from cost.
The $49 Elite Strap (and a $129 model with an exterior battery and carrying case) replaces the usual fabric strap of the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.
