S.Korea passes invoice permitting popstars to defer army enlistment
The passage of the invoice is to revise the Army Service Act to grant an distinctive proper to defer army duties of acclaimed pop artists, akin to BTS, the seven-member acclaimed boyband, studies Yonhap Information Company.
The invoice should now move parliament’s plenary session for last approval.
The revision was proposed by Consultant Jeon Yong-gi of the ruling Democratic Celebration in September after BTS grew to become the primary South Korean pop group to succeed in No. 1 on the US Billboard Sizzling 100 with its tune “Dynamite”.
