When blue and yellow are mixed together, they make green. The three main colours are red, blue, and yellow. These are the three colours that can’t be made by mixing any other colours.
The primary colours, plus black and white, can be used to make all of the colours of the rainbow.
The second colour is green. When you mix two of the primary colours together, you get what are called secondary colours. Other secondary colours are orange and violet. Secondary colours have hues that are in the middle of the two primary colours they are made from.
A colour wheel shows how colours are related to each other.
