What Do the Codes on a Walmart Receipt Mean?

On Walmart receipts, important codes for customers are the receipt number, store code, and ID number. The receipt number is located at the bottom of the receipt, above the bar code. To use Walmart’s Savings Catcher, it is necessary to digitally store receipts.

Those that store their purchase information digitally are able to enter the receipt number, or TC code, into the Walmart app. With this number, the consumer can store his receipt information online and utilise Walmart’s Savings Catcher, which checks prices at other merchants and returns the difference. In the event of a return, a physical receipt is not required, as all the information on the receipt is accessible via the receipt number.

If customers are encouraged at the top of their receipts to participate in a survey regarding their shopping experiences, they may do so. In exchange, Walmart periodically gives away gift cards for shopping. The survey application requires an ID number, which may be found at the top of the invitation. Additionally, the store number is required and shows just above the item listing.
