For customers in the U.S., Nordstrom’s online store accepts most major credit cards, as well as retail, credit, debit, and gift cards made just for Nordstrom. Nordstrom also takes payments through PayPal, which lets customers pay with their PayPal balance or directly from their bank account or credit card.
Nordstrom accepts Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and Discover Network, among other cards. The company doesn’t take cash, checks, money orders, or gift certificates for online payments. However, gift cards can be used to place orders over the phone. Customers can use Nordstrom Notes online, which they get through the Nordstrom Rewards programme when they use Nordstrom debit and credit cards.
Customers who use PayPal to place an order can pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. However, the company will always use the money in a user’s PayPal account first. Transfers from U.S. banks can also be made through PayPal. Withdrawals take three to five days to process and need a backup source of funds, like a credit card.
Customers from other countries can only pay with the Nordstrom-branded Visa card or any other Visa or MasterCard. Customers from outside the United States can’t pay with Nordstrom retail, debit, gift, or Nordstrom Notes cards. These orders aren’t charged by Nordstrom directly. Instead, they are charged by its logistics partner Borderfree, which is in charge of shipping international products.
