The Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation says that someone with 20/600 vision can see something from 20 feet away that a normal 20/20 vision person can see from 600 feet away. In another example, a person with poor eyesight can see something from 2 feet away that a person with perfect eyesight can see from 60 feet away.
The American Foundation for the Blind says that a person is legally blind if they can’t see 20/200. So, a person who can only see 20/600 is considered legally blind.
WPTV says that a person with 20/600 vision can only see people as shapes. CNN says that this level of vision loss is about the same as a baby’s vision.
