What Is a Dispatch Note?

A dispatch note is a short note from a seller to a buyer saying that the goods the buyer ordered have been sent. Dispatch notes have important details about the items ordered and other important information about the order. Online stores often use dispatch notes to confirm that orders have been shipped.

Buyers need shipment notes because they let them keep track of their orders. They both matter just as much to the seller. If a buyer isn’t happy with their purchase when it arrives, he usually has to send it back with part of the dispatch note or the invoice number from the dispatch note.
