The first part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ vision statement says, “Starwood was built on the principles of exceeding expectations, making our communities better, and celebrating diversity.” The rest of the vision statement is built around these basic ideas.
In its vision statement, Starwood also says that it supports local businesses that are owned and run by people of colour. The Starwood Corporation works with businesses owned by minorities because it thinks that these partnerships are good for everyone and can help small businesses do well. Starwood’s core value is that everyone should be treated the same, no matter their race or social class.
