A letter grade of C is the same as a percent grade of 73. For a percentage grade to be considered a C, it needs to be between 73 and 76, but this can be different at different schools.
A 2.0 is the grade point average that goes with a letter grade of “C.” In the same way, a student must get a percent grade of 77 to 79 to get a grade point average of 2.3, which is the same as a C+. To get a grade point average of 1.7, which is the same as a C-, a student must get a grade of 70 to 72 percent.
