Amazon accepts gift cards issued by Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. It accepts Amazon Gift Cards as well.
Amazon accepts a range of additional cards as payment options. These include Amazon Rewards Visa and Amazon.com store credit cards, MasterCard, EuroCard, Discover Network, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, NYCE, STAR, and China UnionPay cards. Although these businesses provide traditional credit and debit cards, many also offer gift cards. These are comparable to pre-paid cards, but often feature a fixed, non-reloadable balance.
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other gift cards provided by credit card providers are accepted by Amazon in the same manner as conventional credit cards. They can simply pick card as the payment method, enter their card details, and continue with the transaction.
Amazon Gift Cards can also be used to pay for products. These are accessible via the Amazon website and can be sent via standard mail, email, printing, or Facebook post. If the Amazon Gift Card amount is insufficient to cover the total cost of the purchase, the customer may use a second card to make up the difference. Customers may not, however, divide payments made with other card types, including gift cards issued by credit card providers.
