GPX is a brand of entry-level consumer electronics made by an original equipment manufacturer on behalf of GPX, Inc., the brand’s parent business. While GPX outsources the production of its products, its products are designed in-house.
The GPX headquarters is in St. Louis, Missouri. It was established in 1971 as Dick Proctor Imports. 1973 marked the beginning of its present business model, which utilises a network of OEM factories across Asia. In the same year, the company began using the Grand Prix brand. In 1985, this brand was subsequently shortened to GPX. In 2004, Synergy Enterprises, LLC acquired GPX.
