Wild Goose Holding Company, Inc. is the owner of privately owned Wawa, Inc. Numerous individual shareholders from various corporations are owners and partake in the company’s revenues and losses.
Surprisingly, the company’s history dates back more than two centuries and began as an iron foundry. George Woods, the owner around the turn of the 20th century, became interested in dairy and constructed a dairy processing business. Wawa, the convenience shop, was created in the 1960s; the first store to operate sold dairy items. The company expanded rapidly, eventually becoming a chain of convenience stores.
